Weddings and Wedding Planning
By Ellen Zucker

Planning a wedding doesn't have to be intimidating, but it's easy to understand why many find it to be so. The challenge of wedding planning is to bring to life the beautiful picture in your mind's eye within real world parameters of budget and other constraints. So... what do you envision when you walk down the aisle? Is it the interior of a magnificent church with bright sunlight pouring through magnificent stained glass? Beautiful chandeliers hanging in an elegant mansion? The posh ballroom of the grandest hotel in the city? A rustic country location surrounded by leafy trees and fragrant flowers and , maybe a waterfall? You can even tie the knot at an authentic 'Fairy Tale Wedding' at Disney World.
The optional glass coach pulled by four dappled gray ponies will set you back about $2,500, though. Or would you prefer to be married in a small, intimate ceremony at a distant romantic isle? Destination weddings, as these are called, can be less expensive than a local wedding and provide a vacation for your guests. Click here to read Bridal Bargains authors Denise and Alan Field's discussion about the 'ins' and 'outs' of destination weddings. Wedding planning is the way you turn the dream into reality. The keys are organization and planning. You'll find that a wedding timeline is your best friend. Here is a sample one.
